Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) is a 1-year pre-sea training program followed by onboard sea training with a shipping company. It is one of the most popular Merchant Navy courses after 12th PCM.

⚓ Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification

• ✔ 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)
• ✔ Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM
• ✔ Minimum 50% marks in English

OR

• ✔ B.Sc (Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Electronics) with 55%
• ✔ B.E / B.Tech (AICTE approved) with 50%

Note: Minimum 50% in English is mandatory in 10th / 12th / Degree.

Relaxation: 5% relaxation in PCM for SC/ST candidates (not applicable for English).

Age Limit

• ✔ Male: General - 25 yrs | OBC - 28 yrs | SC/ST - 30 yrs
• ✔ Female: General - 27 yrs | OBC - 30 yrs | SC/ST - 32 yrs
